Silver Creek Sno-Odders Minutes from March 2010

Roll Call
Minutes were read from last month and approved with the exception that the minutes from last month should reflect that the club wants Joe to groom at least once per week when the trails are open. Tami needs to check the minutes and change them if needed. (Note: Minutes do say “Motion made & 2nd to have the groomer out once per week while the trails are open”.
Treasurer Kathy reported that checking beginning balance was $399.06 End was $464.06; Savings account beginning balance was 4973.29, end balance $4075.13; CD (due 4/4/10) $4562.15.
FDL County News: Grants are due April 15. Nothing new on the CAPP STEP program. Kathy must file a form 990 by the May 15, 2010 deadline.
AWSC: Dean went to the convention. Lobbyist talked about the STEP CAPP Program. Calls & emails are about 50/50. 40% chance the bill wouldn’t pass. Dean has list of who to call/email etc. to let them know how you feel. 1.) Mand. Speed 55 mph. 2.) 0 Sobriety with passengers. 3.) Drunk driving Boat/ATV/Snowmobile etc. would affect driver’s license. (Dean will send Tami an email with numbers & email addresses to send letters or to call. Also Dean will draft a form letter for club members to print out & send to their respective legislatives if they wish to.
Old Business: Trail Marker Posts: MPB will donate posts to the club. (Will cut up & put in the shed.)
Trail Report: CLOSED (Still room for improvement for opening & closing trail system.)
New Business: CD Comes due 4/4/10. Motion made & 2nd to rollover existing and to add $2,000 to currant amount.
Donating money to scholarships or charity was touched on. More at a later date.
Summer Brat Fry: Friday, August 27 (Committee Jack, Howard, Kristine & Judy)
New Trail Committee Idea: Info will be on website. Trail marking, grooming etc. will be discussed at the April meeting.
American Council of Snowmobile Association (East Lansing, MI): Asked for $100.00 – Motion made & 2nd for denial.
Lake States Resources: Sent raffle tickets – They were purchased by club members for $25.00 a pack. Raffle will be held April 25 in Rhinelander, WI
Jacket Raffle: Dave Sina; Raffle – missed by Todd Splittgaber (next month $109.00)
Next meeting – Saturday, April 10 – POTLUCK starts at 6 p.m. Regular meeting at 7 p.m. followed by election of officers
