March Meeting Highlights

Convention: Al & Lori Ehster will be voting for the incumbents at this year’s convention.

Reimbursements: The club has decided to discontinue the reimbursement of one nights lodging for Club Trip, Convention or workshop.

Pickett Trail: Talk was made of possibly acquiring a 6 mile section of trail that leads into the Pickett area. More discussion at the April meeting.

Board of Directors met on Feb. 28 to discuss some issues. One being membership. Please bring your ideas on obtaining more members, improvement of membership and any other thoughts you may have to the April meeting.

A HUGE Thank You to Terry Fude on the re-design & upkeep on our website – it looks great!

AWSC Convention Highlights

 

Trail Report –NOW CLOSED

Trail Marking: Howard brought forward a new marking system that will be implemented next season. A rough draft of members’ names and sections of trial will be available for review at the April meeting. Hopefully we can get this finalized so that members can pick up the signs from this season and familiarize themselves with the section of trail they will be doing next season.

Please come to learn more about what you will be doing and how this new system will work.

Trail Boss:

Dean has given his notice and the club is in need of a trail boss. If you are interested or have questions on duties, please get in touch with Howard.

Trail Marking:

It has been decided to obtain markers that say Keep Right. These will be placed in the middle of the trails that are wide enough to be a boulevard. Regular blazers will be placed on the outsides of the trail.

Opening & Closing of Trails: Dean has stated that it is important for us to attend the county meetings in order for us to be heard and complain about the open & closing of the county trails system that is currently in place. Hopefully something will be accomplished if we all stand together.                                               See you April 12!
